As we approach the end days we must have command of certain skill sets that will set us up to endure and to succeed as part of the faithful remnant. This short article couldn’t be more important for you. Through difficult days in our own lives, God showed us how to marshal the same power that Jesus used while on earth.
From overcoming immense injuries sustained in a horrific airplane crash, to battling and winning over terminal cancer, this verse of scripture was vital and life changing. The principle from the Bible could be life altering to you and your family as we progress rapidly toward the the Lord’s return.
Pay close attention to the surprising statement Jesus taught His disciples. He is speaking to all who would be His followers.
“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” – Mark 11:23
Notice that Jesus did NOT say, “Whosoever shall speak to God about this mountain.” He said we should speak directly to the mountain ourselves. To get the desired end result we should do what Jesus did. He told us to speak to the mountain.
From a worldly point of view, the whole concept sounds foolish. But 1 Corinthians 1:27 describes that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. It will always sound foolish to the unbelieving world when someone with faith in God, speaks as if what the Bible has promised is reality. This is especially true when God’s promises contradict the natural evidence around us, which they most often do.
When young David was facing the giant, his speech was just like God’s. Likewise, if you want to defeat your enemy and keep him under your foot, speak according to God’s kingdom, not this world. You’ll want to use the same kind of faith-filled words that David spoke. Use the same words that Jesus used. Talk the same way as one with authority from Heaven. Do as Jesus did, speak as one with authority from God.
In Romans 4:17, the Bible says that God Himself talks this way!, “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;”
God doesn’t wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks. He causes them to line up because He speaks. You can do the same thing. You’ll get the same results if your words and your faith agree with His. With faith in your heart, speak God’s words out of your mouth with authority–and don’t stop agreeing and believing what you are saying–for as long as it takes.
Some will ask, “But what if nothing happens right away? What if the circumstances don’t immediately change?” When Jesus spoke to the fig tree in Mark 11:14, He didn’t go back and check to see if anything had happened to it. No, once He had spoken it, He considered it done. The fig tree started dying the moment Jesus cursed it.
Follow the Lord’s example with the words you choose. Cause the hope in your heart to speak words of faith with your mouth. Then stay in agreement with God’s Word! But fasten your spiritual seat belts – because, it you will do this consistently, your life will change dramatically!
Remember, with God nothing is impossible!
