Today’s message is about the power of grace and about the Lord’s glorious appearing for His bride. These two things are connected… as we’ll see when we read Titus 2:11-14.

Unfortunately, the concept of GRACE has been abused and misused. It’s often mis-taught and mis-understood. And this puts Christians at risk.

Just believing something.. doesn’t make it true. We are each responsible to learn what God’s perspective is and we can’t do that if we don’t spend adequate time in His Word. God’s word is truth. We always have to allow God’s word to correct our doctrine and what we believe.

So let’s talk about grace. It‘s the foundation of our salvation. Grace….is a gift from God… not something we can demand. It‘s for those who accept God’s gift and what it represents.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV

At the same time, it is also our trainer and requires the pursuit of righteousness. Much like insurance–it covers when we stay within it’s conditions and does not protect us when we violate the terms of the conditions. God is both faithful AND just.

“For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches [and trains] us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age, awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.” Titus 2:11-14 AMP.

Grace is an action word that denotes a prodding by the Spirit of God to live a righteous life… to allow Him to trained in us in righteousness. Only when we pursue righteousness do we remain under the covering of grace. If we pursue unrighteousness or practice sinning, we move outside of the grace of God.

Once again, reminding you that with God nothing is impossible!
