Not having the ability to think critically in today’s sea of information is like jumping into the ocean without the ability to swim. Rather than settling for merely staying afloat, we should develop our ability to swim safely through the waves of theories and deceptions that have the potential to wash us away from Christ. Paul warned us about the battle for our mind, in the following scripture.

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:6-8).

Critical thinking is simply the skill of pressing further to understand and evaluate an idea or argument. When critical thinking is not engaged, we tend to accept an idea simply based on our emotions or allow our thinking to be driven by the media or groupthink. This is exactly what Satan wants.

We are called to accept personal responsibility to not be taken “captive” by cultural pressures but to evaluate all ideas through the lens of Christ, the One in whom we are to walk and imitate.

Have you evaluated what’s driving your beliefs and behavior? Is it the voices on the news, your neighbors, your family members, or your emotions? If we are Christians, we are to be rooted in the truth of Christ. And therefore, are called upon to challenge and evaluate anything in this world and culture that could be influencing our beliefs or behavior.

When I see behavior that is motivated by fear, sickness and death… I quickly recognize that it is not of God. And yet, that is the current status of our world. If God’s word is true and He is a God of healing, peace and life, then the world’s message must be a lie.

Are you able to discern truth from fiction when truth seems to be stranger than fiction? Let’s consider what’s going on in our world today. The truth may be difficult to accept if you have already chosen to believe a lie. Ask the Lord to help you understand what is true.

What if… at a slow and calculated pace, a shadow government has hijacked our politics, our education system, the media, our medical system and more … with few even noticing.

A recent poll conducted on Twitter… asked a surprising question: “In what year did you wake up to the fact that an evil cabal was running the world, controlling the news, controlling the money, indoctrinating our children… with the ultimate goal of global control and depopulation?”

The question would have sounded crazy to most a year ago… but now, it makes a lot of sense to more and more. The results of that poll are almost as astounding as the question itself. Almost half, of the tens of thousands who were asked, said they “woke up” to these truths in 2020. So, last year was an eye opener for millions.

But now it’s time ask yourself some soul searching questions that Satan and the deep state don’t want you to ask. What is really true? Who or what do you really believe and why?

We’ve become so accustomed to being TOLD what’s true that most have quit thinking for themselves. The media calls truth ‘hate speech’ while silencing any voice contrary to their lying narrative. Why would the alternative messages need to be silenced if they aren’t true? Why are we not allowed to decide for ourselves?

Is this what God intended for His creation? Absolutely not!

You are created in God’s image. You’re designed to think for yourself… to make your own choices… to be the steward of your mind. Pick up your Bible, look up the word “think” in a good concordance. There are 71 references. God expects you to use your mind … and think for yourself. The Bible’s instructs us… “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

Jesus asked His disciples often, “What do you think?” He asked the scribes and Pharisees… to think about what He was saying.

Isaiah 1:18 says, “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord.” The Bible encourages us to reason things out. To contemplate, consider and ponder.

Tragically, ‘Critical thinking’ is fast becoming obsolete. God is not threatened by critical thinking. In fact, he encourages it. Only Satan – the God of this world – is threatened that we might figure out what is true, because truth will always align us with God.

Look at this recent NY Times article titled, “Don’t Go Down the Rabbit Hole.”  “Critical thinking, as we’re taught to do it, isn’t helping in the fight against misinformation.”

This would be laughable if it wasn’t so dangerous! Think about what the article is saying. The demon-controlled people in power – want you to accept only the evil lying narrative which THEY feed you. If, however, you do think for yourself, and you do you own research, then their hope is that you’ll look at Wikipedia or Snopes or a Netflix documentary to determine that what ‘they’ say is true… and believe their propaganda.

Why are you encouraged to use these sites for your research? Because the evil cabal owns and controls the data on those sites. Wikipedia and Snopes, for example, are completely Soros funded. For those unfamiliar, George Soros is a well known deep state puppet.

You probably already know you won’t find full truth with Google, right? Validated truth that is dangerous to the deep state is censored and scrubbed from any source controlled by the left. Any message or opinion that’s contrary to the approved narrative, especially if it is true, is simply NOT there!

As an example, if you aren’t searching non-censored alternative media, then you likely do not know how many thousands are dying after taking the vaccine. Or what’s in the vaccine that causes cancer and slow death and sterilization? There are thousands of highly reputable doctors and scientists that are informing as many as possible about the serious dangers of the vaccine but they are being heavily censored and silenced so that the masses don’t hear the truth. Why? That in itself should raise serious questions.

The strategy against you doing your own “Critical Thinking” is straight from Satan’s playbook. The deep state uses words and phrases to manipulate the population in order to stop the questioning – stop all independent thinking. As we’ve seen throughout history, elimination of critical thinking becomes ultimately lethal to the general population.

When a person’s mind is aggressively bombarded with illogical ideas, they grow mentally fatigued – and finally quit thinking for themselves… giving themselves over to the current of popular opinion and hoping for the best.

For example, here is an illogical deception….
Planned Parenthood – killed 42.7 million unborn babies last year alone. That is more than all military and civilian deaths in Europe during 6 years of WWII. That’s 7 times more than died in the Jewish Holocaust. That’s more than the entire population of California. And that’s EVERY year! Planned Parenthood? Whose parenthood are they planning? And why isn’t there a massive outcry?

Let’s look at another example of illogical deception….
The medically untrained and unelected Bill Gates is in charge (and owns) the patent of a Covid vaccine (supposedly to save lives). Really? Here is an important moment to do some critical thinking. Documented on camera multiple times, Gates describes achieving “normalcy” by depopulating the globe through vaccination. You may or may not realize that part of this vaccine is to quietly sterilize the population… and kill with disease… in order “to save humanity?”

Children, who are too young to remain home without a babysitter, are somehow mature enough to change their sex without parental consent. Does that sound right? How will God respond to this perverted and corrupted behavior from this once Christian nation?

Obviously, I’d love to tell you where to find truth in the news, which websites to visit or articles to read. But truth is now being deleted from the internet as fast as it’s posted. What we trusted a month or even a week ago, has been hijacked by the demonic left, leaving only corners and islands of truth available. It has never been more important to know the truth than it is today… but never more difficult to find it.

Satan blasts you with so many lies from so many directions … that you’re tempted to stop engaging in critical thinking… for the purpose of self-protection. It’s just too stressful. Critical thinking is almost dead. Independent thinking in 2020 can be summed up this way: “Death by a thousand cuts.” (a figure of speech that refers to a failure that occurs as a result of too many small difficulties when added up.)

So, you may be asking… what is true? What is unchanging. In short… God never changes. The One True God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He cannot lie. And the Bible is God’s Word and is forever true.

Your enemy will always be Satan. As long as you live on this earth you are in a war zone. And the only way to have more power than Satan does is to have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior… and that means, letting Him lead your life with the power of His Spirit.

During this last year you have faced many challenges. You’ve likely become disoriented and exhausted. If you have been isolated you’re probably discouraged and battle-weary.

Remember, in truth there is power. In truth there is freedom. Isn’t it time to take your place and boldly stand up for what is true? “Jesus said, then you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

Seek God, seek truth, don’t settle for the world’s version of what’s true. Learn for yourself… God will help and lead those who are sincerely seeking. It is more urgent than ever to KNOW what is true. Literally, your life and the lives of your loved ones likely depend on it.
