Have you ever noticed that life sometimes seems to stack the odds against you?
Maybe it is a difficult health report.
A financial setback.
A broken relationship.
Or a challenge so large that everyone around you says, “It can’t be done.”
Most of us have faced moments like that. The facts look discouraging. The outcome looks uncertain. And the voices around us may not be offering much hope.
But I have learned something over the years:
The odds may matter to people, but they do not limit God.
Jesus said:
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Matthew 19:26 NKJV
Think about that for a moment.
Not some things.
Not most things.
All things are possible with God.
When Trouble First Hits
When trouble first arrives, most of us react emotionally. I know I have.
Fear tries to knock on the door. Doubt tries to move in. Questions begin to swirl around in our minds.
Why is this happening?
How will this work out?
What if things get worse?
Those first reactions are normal. But there’s something more important than how you react in the first few moments.
The real question is:
How will you respond after you have had time to think?
Will you focus on the problem? Or will you focus on the promises of God?
The Bible says:
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
Faith does not deny reality. Faith simply refuses to give reality the final word.
Faith Looks Beyond the Facts
Faith is not pretending the problem does not exist. Faith sees the problem, but it sees God more clearly. Faith chooses what it believes and acts accordingly.
The facts may be real. The report may be real. The setback may be real. The pain may be real.
But God is more real.
And His Word is more true… if it is ignited by our faith.
I have seen God do things that people said could not happen. I have seen lives restored, broken hearts healed, and prayers answered when every visible sign pointed the other direction.
Why?
Because God’s power is greater than man’s limitations.
Your Story Is Not Over
Maybe you are facing your own battle today. If so, let me encourage you:
Your story is not over.
God is still able.
God is still listening.
God is still answering prayers.
The challenge before you may be real, but it is not bigger than God’s promises.
This week, take one step of faith. Just one.
Believe God for something. Then act on that belief. And keep thanking God for His answer UNTIL the answer becomes visible.
As I describe in my book and the companion workbook — Atomic Faith, there is a difference between hope, belief, and faith.
Hope expects.
Belief trusts.
But faith acts.
And miracles usually begin when belief becomes action.
So take that step. Choose what you believe. Pray that prayer. Speak the promise of God over your life.
Whatever God is prompting you to do, act in faith.

Final Thought
When the odds are against you, God is not. He is for you.
He delights in answering prayers of faith.
God bless you,

Thank you so much for your ministry! I have purched 3 of your books already and definately have made an impact in my life! I’ve already shared testimonies from those! God has done amazing things in my life, yet sorrowed of a failed relationship from an angry broken man that wont surrender his life to God. I’m safe now, God has protected me tremendously! Transplanted me in home, church, bible group, ladies bible group, bank accounts.. everything! My answer today is: it is ALL within Gods power! Nothing of our doing.
I am a vessel an instrument used of God for His glory! Much to do about the Fathers Kingdom! Lord help me when I am and help my bow be rock steady!
Vinita, it sounds like you have much to be grateful for. I am encouraged to hear how God has carried you through those difficult circumstances and established you in a place of safety and fellowship. A willing heart that is ready to be used for His purposes and glory is exactly what the Christian life is all about. The journey is not always easy, but there is nothing more fulfilling or exciting than surrendering to God and watching Him work. — Dale
