The Bible tells us that “we have not because we ask not.” Yet many believers discover another challenge after they have prayed.

Sometimes we ask…

…but we never truly receive.

God invites us not only to pray, but also to believe that what He has promised is already ours through faith. His promises are not wishful thinking. They are invitations to trust Him.

Consider these powerful Scriptures.

1 John 5:14–15
“If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us… and we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

3 John 1:2
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Life has a way of leaving our hands hanging down and our knees weak.

Disappointments come. Illness comes. Loss comes. Weariness comes.

Yet God’s Word speaks hope into every one of those moments.

Hebrews reminds us to rise again—to strengthen weak hands and trembling knees. That strength does not come from determination alone. It flows from our Heavenly Father, who faithfully supplies what we cannot produce ourselves.

Then John gives us one of the greatest assurances found anywhere in Scripture.

If we ask according to God’s will, He hears us.

And if He hears us, we can know that we already have what we have asked of Him.

What an incredible promise!

Our confidence is not based on our emotions. It is based on God’s faithfulness.

The Lord does not delight in leaving His children broken. His desire is that we prosper in every area of life and walk in health as our souls grow stronger in Him (3 John 2-3).

Each promise of Scripture becomes another link in a growing chain of hope.

Together they lift weary hands.

They strengthen tired hearts.

They give us confidence to pray—and confidence to receive.

God is at work in every part of our lives. He cares about our spirit, our soul, our body, and even the circumstances we face each day. His transforming work begins within us and continues outward as we trust Him.

As your prayers become more closely aligned with God’s Word, expect your confidence to grow.

Remember this wonderful truth:

God’s Word and God’s will are never in conflict.

You cannot separate them.

What God has spoken reveals what God desires.

As His Word fills your heart, His life begins to flow through your entire being—spirit, soul, and body.

So ask in faith.

Receive with confidence.

Stand upon His promises.

Then watch what God will do.

God’s Word is God’s will.

Remember, with God, nothing is impossible.
