Picture this: You stand before a crowd to speak. As your voice begins to carry across the room, chaos erupts—a demon manifests openly, disrupting everything. In that moment, your spiritual authority is tested. But instead of fear, you speak boldly—with words empowered by God Himself. You command the demon to leave. It obeys. And everyone watching knows instantly: something far greater than human power is at work.

This isn’t fiction—it’s exactly what happened to Jesus in Mark 1:21–28 when He taught in a synagogue and cast out a demon publicly. From that moment forward, Jesus routinely encountered and defeated demons as part of His earthly ministry.

Near the end of His time on earth, Jesus made His mission crystal clear: “…I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow…” (Luke 13:32). Preaching the good news, healing the sick, and delivering the oppressed weren’t optional—they were His standard operating procedure.

But it didn’t stop with Him. Before ascending to Heaven, Jesus passed that same mission and authority to every believer. He made it part of what we now call “The Great Commission.” And nowhere in Scripture does it say that commission has ended.

Yet today, many Christians shy away from deliverance. Why? Often because they’ve been taught—wrongly—that it’s reserved for a special class of ministers. Or they’ve been conditioned to believe deliverance isn’t needed anymore. But Jesus said otherwise: “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons…” —Mark 16:17

Jesus clearly expected every believer to walk in His authority, continuing the works He began: “He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do…” —John 14:12

Satan doesn’t want you to know this. In fact, he’s banking on your ignorance and fear—his two most effective weapons. He hides behind myths, horror stories, and even teachings within churches that downplay or dismiss the demonic. But when believers awaken to the truth and begin walking in the authority Jesus gave, the enemy trembles.

Christians often lump demons in with fairy tales or ghosts. But once you realize the authority you carry through Christ, the spiritual dynamic flips—the demons are afraid of you.

Deliverance isn’t mystical or complicated. Jesus never made a show of it. He didn’t rely on rituals or special formulas. He simply spoke with authorityAnd that same authority has been given to you. “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…” —Luke 10:19

Through deliverance, Jesus revealed two powerful truths:

  1. There are two opposing kingdoms—God’s and satan’s.
  2. God’s kingdom has already won.

That’s why the devil works tirelessly to keep these truths hidden. His influence thrives in the shadows of deception.

And now more than ever, demonic activity is increasing. Our culture is wide open to it—from media to books to “harmless” spiritual practices that lure people in. Young people especially are under siege, targeted by an enemy who’s growing bolder.

As followers of Christ, we cannot afford to remain passive. The commission hasn’t changed. We’re still called to do what Jesus did: share the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. That’s not a message for someone else—it’s for you.

The authority of Jesus has already been won through the cross. When He rose from the grave, He stripped Satan of his power and passed the keys to His Church. Every demon knows that authority. They must obey it—whether it comes directly from Christ or through one of His redeemed followers.

“And these signs will follow those who believe… they will cast out demons… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” —Mark 16:17–18

The time is now. Step into your authority. The world needs believers who aren’t afraid to confront the invisible enemy—and set the captives free.

And with God, nothing is impossible,
