Press In to God – Dale Black

Have you noticed that things aren’t getting any better in this old world? Many can now see the fulfillment of end time scriptures taking place before our eyes.
.
In recent weeks, God’s Holy Spirit has been speaking to me with an urgent message. He’s been saying: “Press in.” In other words, He urging me to draw in to a more intimate relationship with Him.
.
That “press in” message isn’t only for me. It’s also for you—and for every believer in the earth today. We are without doubt in the last of the last days. Jesus is coming again. He’s coming soon. This is a wonderful time indeed. But it’s also a dangerous, deceitful time when it’s more important than ever that the Lord leads us. If we don’t press in, most of us won’t make it through all that’s ahead. But if we do, we will see incredible answers to prayer and Spirit outpourings from the Lord that we can scarcely imagine.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….” Colossians 3:16
.
Those who don’t do what God’s Spirit is saying, who don’t press in to the Lord, are going to go from chaos to disaster. But those who do, will overcome or avoid the disasters, and experience God’s leading and answered prayers. Do yourself a favor and press in to God starting today.

The first step to drawing closer to God is to understand that God and His word are one. You know God by spending time in His Word. It may sound strange at first, but it’s true. Time spent meditating in the New Testament is time spent with Jesus.

Most people try to know the Lord by their their feelings, and that just doesn’t work. Allowing the Word of God to dominate your thinking is to create an environment where the Holy Spirit has control over your soul (your mind, will and emotions). As you do that, your feelings will gradually fall in line.

Remember this, John 1 tells us that Jesus is the Word. This means, when you spend time in the Word, you’re actually spending time with Jesus. When His Word is dwelling in you richly, then Jesus is dwelling in you richly also!

So, don’t go from chaos to disaster. Take those disasters and turn them into victory, for the glory of God. Press in to Jesus. Press in to His Word, and you’ll make it through the dangerous days ahead. And you’ll do it exceptionally well!

Remember, with God nothing is impossible!
