If we had God’s entire plan for our lives laid out before us, we would see that any disobedience costs more than we can afford. Disobedience takes us off track each and every time. Sometimes it causes us to wander around and around, costing time and resources. Sometimes when we disobey, we miss a glorious part of God’s plan that could only occur at a particular place or time in our life.
There’s great news about this too. The reverse is true. The pathway to blessings from God, is obedience. God has given us His written Word and placed His Spirit within us to provide moment-by-moment direction for our lives. And when we “wake up” and realize that diligent obedience to our heavenly Father is “the ONLY way to go,” life becomes a blessed adventure. Even mundane, daily activity becomes a magnificent adventure when we live each moment guided by His Spirit and His Word.
What I am NOT saying is that by disobeying you lose your salvation or Heaven as your eternal destination. However the Bible talks about the danger of “practicing” disobedience or purposefully disobeying. Besides, why would you want to miss out on the abundant life Jesus has provided to those who love and follow Him. Obedience really is the pathway to God’s blessings in your life.
Enjoy this video teaching and this week and try making obedience your top priority. Doing so is the shortest path to His blessings in this earth… and beyond. You are loved and are in our prayers. Remember, with God nothing is impossible.
