Today’s message is Part 2 regarding the power of grace and how it connects to the Lord’s glorious appearing for His bride.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
Unfortunately, the concept of GRACE has been abused and misused. It’s often incorrectly taught and misunderstood. This puts Christians at serious spiritual risk. Simply believing something is true, doesn’t make it true. We are each responsible to learn what God’s perspective is. And we can not do that if we don’t spend adequate time in His Word, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to guide us into truth. We always have to allow God’s word to correct our doctrine and what we believe if we desire to stay in agreement with God.
Grace is the foundation of our salvation. It’s a gift from God… not something we can demand. It provides for those who accept God’s gift and agree with what it represents.
At the same time, grace is also referred to as our trainer and requires the pursuit of righteousness. Much like insurance–it covers us when we stay within it’s conditions and does not protect us when we violate the terms of the conditions. God is faithful, just AND holy.
“For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches [and trains] us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age, awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.” Titus 2:11-14 AMP.
Once again, reminding you that with God nothing is impossible!
