At the perfect time, the Christ Child, the One prophesied from ancient of days, was born in Bethlehem. Shepherds were watching over their flocks on the hillside and were awed by angels singing from the heavens in celebration and proclamation. Wise men traveled, following the star that foretold of a king’s birth.

The manger, the virgin mother, the birth of the Child who is the world’s Savior—is now all historical fact. But it has lost none of its majesty and power.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23.

The Gospel of John calls Him “the Word.” Which, if considered, make His Words more profound and powerful than creation itself. Creation was simply a manifestation of who He is.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5.

It is incredible to think about. This Child… a newborn babe, who lay in a trough for feeding cows… created the world! He was, and He is, God. Yet, at the same time, He was and is with God. That’s the wonder of the Trinity — one God in three Persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, working in perfect unity to unfold a perfect plan to redeem mankind.

God the Son entered our world, the same way we enter our world, by means of a mother—in flesh.

The dilemma of our humanness is that we stand before a perfectly holy God, as sinners by nature. We prefer to excuse sin with the words, “after all, we are only human.” But, Jesus was human also. Human without sin. He had a sinless nature. Yet, here is an important point… He was tempted just as we are… in all things, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). He had to come in the flesh to represent us. He had to resist sin in order to be an acceptable and perfect sacrifice and provide salvation to any who would accept His gift.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

The world around us doesn’t get it. But this is why we celebrate! It’s why we give gifts and light up our homes and trees with the representation of LIGHT. He is the Light of the world. His birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection are the reasons we sing carols and eat feasts. We have been pardoned… made righteous… because of what Jesus did. He purchased our redemption. We are set free from sin and death. This is why modern day disciples of Jesus rejoice!

“But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:22-23.

P.S. (During this malicious ‘plandemic’ deception, I have been prompted to stop using the word ‘believers’ when referring to followers of Jesus. Goodness, with the current day broad definition, even Satan is a believer. I now prefer to use the term ‘disciples of Jesus’. He told us to go into all the world and make disciples. So, I plan on using that term more, and eliminating the use of the other.)

In Jesus’ own words he said, “‘Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20.

For some, this Christmas may seem dark. Pain, loneliness, and loss, can feel worse against a backdrop of celebration. So, why not reach out this year. Share a meal, send a card, an encouraging email or text. Serve at an outreach soup kitchen. Find someone who is struggling and buy them a cup of coffee, share a gospel tract to explain the hope of Christmas. Remind others of the debt Jesus paid … for all of us. Consider sending them links to DBM. Send them here for free videos and Bible teaching: DaleBlack.org

Of all the gifts you have ever received in your lifetime… this one we’re talking about in this message, is infinitely bigger and better and brighter than all the rest. God gave His Son. There are many great Christmas verses throughout the Bible. But for me, one says it best. It emphasizes God’s gift to the world and to each of us as individuals. We find it in John 3:16.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” And I vowed years ago, not to quote that verse without including the verse that follows where Jesus says this: “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

Help us reach more for God’s kingdom. Time is short and there are so many still spiritually lost. Remember, we’ve been told that DBM will be blessed with a Double Impact Gift Challenge! Any monetary gift given in December and before the end of the year, in support of Dale Black Ministries, will have double the impact! Each dollar is pledged to be matched.

And as I always remind you, With God nothing is impossible!
