There is no pride in Heaven. This is a component of Heaven that few speak about, yet it’s one of the most amazing things you will experience. In fact, there is a complete absence of pride anywhere near God Himself. Have you thought about what that means to you… in this life? Even now on earth, God is strongly opposed to pride. James 4:6 says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
In Heaven there is no pretense or selfishness. In fact, it is not about you or me or what we get or what we do. Heaven is about God. It is ALL about God. I believe that when anyone has even a glimpse of the Heaven that God created, earthly pride is vaporized as a result. It’s no wonder that the Bible tells us “Moses was more humble than all men who were on the face of the earth” (Numbers 12:3).
Why was Moses the most humble? The answer seems clear. He had seen God! He had been in His presence.
When any of us compares the awesomeness of God to our puny lives, pride becomes irrelevant. He is the Creator and we are the created. As a Christian on earth, everything truly good we have ever done, or will ever do, is because of God’s unmerited love and His power working in us. Glory is not ours to take.
That explains the scripture in Revelation 4:10 which describes “…casting their crowns at the Lord’s feet.” For every reward we receive in Heaven, God’s grace and power is the reason. There is nothing any of us can take glory for or be prideful about. It’s an amazing and wonderful thing to experience a community where every being is giving glory where glory is due—to God alone. This singular focus creates great joy and gratefulness in Heaven and connects us together as a unified community.
Let us keep our eye of the One True God who has a specific plan for your life for such a time as this.
With love and support to be all God wants you to be. Remember, with God nothing is impossible.

I’m trying to understand what pride is. I love your teachings and the idea that there is no pride in heaven is a great place for me to start. I’m afraid to use the word “pride” with others. For example, telling my grandkids that I am proud of them for something they have done might put pride into them and I don’t want that. I haven’t had a chance to read or hear a lot of your teachings but I would sure like to hear any teachings you have about pride. My NIV translation uses that word when Paul is writing to the Corinthians and Galatians but It seems to be when their hearts are right and they have done things that are pleasing to God with the right heart/spirit.
Dear Sister Mary, Thank you so much for your email. I will let Dale and Paula know that you emailed them. Pride is being haughty…the Lord is against haughtiness. It’s a different pride when you are praising your grandchildren for the accomplishments that they have done! Keep reading God’s Word and you will know the difference. God bless you-LR Prayer Coordinator
