One of the biggest lies that Satan tries to throw our way is that God is to blame for much of the difficulty we are going through. But please, don’t fall for Satan’s schemes. He is a liar and cannot be trusted. Refuse to blame God for the trials in your life. God loves you and everything He does is out of that love. Satan on the other hand hates you and the Bible clearly describes his tactics: steal, kill and destroy.

You can improve your life starting right now by telling yourself, out loud, that you will stand on God’s Word and you will resist Satan at all times. You will resist your enemy and trust in God, who is faithful… until you see the victory in the trial. Let God have His way. And if you do, He’ll use the difficulties for your good and His glory. It’s just the way God works. If you feel you are in a stalemate with God and not making any progress… guess who needs to change. Not God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And He is loving and faithful.

If you have been under the pressure of a trial (and who hasn’t), it’s important not to blame the hardship on God. Although God specializes in turning trials into good things for His children, God is not the author of trials. Jesus came to bring you and me abundant life (John 10:10).

Sometimes we ourselves bring on the repercussions of bad decisions which result in trials. The wonderful thing about a loving God is that even when we create the chaos, God is right there ready to lead us through and out the other end victoriously if we will allow Him. But mostly it is Satan who is the author of trials in the believer’s life. Remember, Satan’s goal is threefold; to kill, to steal and to destroy (same verse, also John 10:10). Thankfully, God is faithful. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And what is God like? My answer is simple. Forever faithful. Your God is a good God…Who is forever faithful.

James 1:13 tells us that temptations, tests and trials are brought on by Satan, not by God. A big strategy and a big lie from Satan is that he wants you and me to blame God for the trials we’re suffering through.  You see, if Satan can convince you that God is responsible, for either not ridding you of the trial or not rescuing you out of it, then he has already won the battle. Satan is the tempter; he is the one who brings condemnation to you. He is the one that brings the heaviness in your spirit. It isn’t God.

Isn’t it interesting that the Bible calls Satan the tempter. He “tempts us” in a trial. Have you asked yourself how? What kind of temptation? In my experience the most often temptation is the temptation to blame our hardship on God. If we blame God, we don’t trust Him. If we don’t trust Him, our fellowship is broken. When trust is broken, Satan has ripped out the heart of our faith and robbed us of power to overcome.

The best thing that ever happened in my own life was birthed out of a major trial. It was an airplane crash for me. For you it may be bankruptcy, disintegration of a marriage, the death of a loved one, or the loss of your reputation. Regardless of the trial, here’s the full truth. God will use trials for your good and His glory if you will allow Him to.

Because the Son of God was sent to earth, was crucified and raised from the dead, you can endure anything Satan brings against you. You have access to the power of Jesus to overcome in your battle. This is because Jesus was and is your substitute. If you’ll follow the instructions in God’s Word (the Bible), you will come out on the other side of your trial just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego: untouched, unharmed and completely protected. It doesn’t mean you won’t go through fire to get to victory. It means God will see you through it to victory if you trust Him.

When you go through the trial, staying obedient in the process, holding steadfast to your faith in the promises of God, then you will come out victorious. This is the best way you can bring glory to God and become a blessing to others. Trial and tribulation purify us if we go through them the way God intends.

Of course I am well aware that this contradicts much religious tradition, yet God doesn’t get glory when His children are beaten down and constantly suffering. Be aware, Satan will try to steal the Word of God out of your heart (Mark 4). He’ll use circumstances and situations to attempt to steal the faith you have in God and in His promises. But you can bring glory to God when you take His Word literally, stand on it and resist the devil. For how long?  Until he flees! (James 4:7).

Be mindful of these things. You are more than a conqueror through Him. You bring glory to God because you approach each situation knowing that Jesus was your substitute and that according to His Word, He has already given you the victory. Don’t settle for anything less. You become a living testimony that God’s Word truly works. And that God means what He says, and says what He means. Forever and ever and ever… God is faithful. Trust that.

With God nothing is impossible.
