You may be growing concerned about the looming supply and food shortages that are growing—not just in the U.S. but also in Canada and the U.K.

There is nothing more basic to human life than a person’s need for food and water. These are the basics that sustain life.

We see in the history of Israel, that God allowed famine as a judgement against those who quit trusting and following the Lord. In many cases, even serving other gods. The world in general, as well as the falsely trained modern church, has never been so willing to trust in the world and pseudo-science rather than in God. Sadly, trusting in God and expecting God to interact with us, has been made to seem outdated or naïve.

Yet, we can look to God’s word to give us wonderful examples of God’s faithfulness in this essential area of need.

Consider how God multiplied the fish and loaves for more than 5000 men plus women and children. (Matthew 14:15-21). He did it again for a group of 4000 men plus women and children (Matthew 15:32-38). We also see in this passage that He had compassion on people being hungry. He cared about the physical need. But we also must recognize that He was desiring to meet the need of those who were seeking Him and His teaching above their own comfort.

God doesn’t just meet our need because we have a need. He responds to those who—in faith—seek Him and trust in Him.

In Matthew 4:4 we are remined that Jesus said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Consider how the widow and her son were sustained indefinitely by God multiplying their food during a food shortage caused by a drought. (1 Kings 17:7-16). The lesson we learn in this example is that the widow trusted in God as she fed the prophet first, before herself and her son, even though she was down to their last portion. By planting that seed of faith in obedience, she was sustained.

In Psalms 91 we read that God sustains, protects, and supplies those who put their trust in Him. In this passage we learn that even pestilence (plague or Covid-19) is nothing to fear for those who trust in the Lord.

“A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.” (Psalms 91:7).

In this current day as we face potential supply and food shortages. We are not to be overcome with fear, but to trust in God. We do what we are able to do in our own strength, as responsible stewards, but we also trust in the Lord to meet our need beyond what we can do in the natural world.

As a personal example, we have personally stored food and supplies, are growing our own food through a garden and hydroponics and pray… thanking God for supplying our need. We are trying to be responsible but we do not question that we–in our own strength–are only as strong as God is in our behalf. So all of our natural efforts do not replace asking and thanking God to bless our efforts and supply our needs in spite of lack in this world.

The world is reeling with uncertainty. And God is using this instability to find out who has truly placed their trust in Him and who is trusting in this world and its Antichrist system. The church is going through a time of sifting along with the world. And we must each choose who we serve and trust.

Is God simply a passenger in your life? Or is He on the throne of your life? If He is on the throne, then the choices you make will be prayerfully weighed against His Word.

Jesus said in Luke 11:28, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!

Jesus also said in John 14:15, If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

In Leviticus 26:3-4 God promised His people, “If you walk in My statues and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, and land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.” God is addressing the supply of food and water being given to those who obey and follow God.

Because the western church has largely become a “world loving, people-pleasing, success focused” organization rather than a watchman and lighthouse, the people of God are largely untaught and believing false doctrines about how God works and what their responsibility is as a believer. This leaves God’s people unequipped to face the deception and judgement that is coming onto the world. We can not be friends with this world and be called “a friend of God” also.

Never in the world have we faced so much blatant deception and propaganda. The Church has never been more at risk of losing their way. Let’s review what God is asking of His people during these troublesome days. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple and straightforward.

Spend time in God’s Word – Do you spend more time each day listening to the world’s perspective than planting God’s Word into your life? To follow God, it is necessary to know His ways. You cannot do that without knowing His Word.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Pray – Communicating with God instead of simply talking about Him, will strengthen your ability to be led by His Spirit and discern His direction. This is critical in these difficult days. Prayer is not simply a time to ask God for all the things you want and need. He already knows what you need. It is a time to fellowship with Him. Worship Him. Submit to His Spirit. Thank Him for all He has done and is doing.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)

Over 50,000 Truckers Join Freedom Convoy Through Canada Protesting COVID Mandates – Massive Crowds of Canadians Show Up In Support

Even with the media blackout regarding this story, The Canadian ‘Freedom Convoy’ of truckers are pushing back against COVID mandates, forced vaccinations and government regulations. They have gained incredible support from the public. It is very challenging to put the scale of this grassroots effort into an adequate context.

If the government is successful in stopping truckers who are not vaccinated from crossing any border with food and supplies, we will see a marked decrease on our store shelves in the near future.

The fundraiser for the effort now exceeds $5.5 million dollars and still climbing.  It is now estimated that over 50,000 vehicles are participating in the convoy effort, and the Canadian Dept. of Transportation is doing everything possible to stop, block and impede the assemblies. Even U.S. truckers are now heading to Ottawa in solidarity to support our Canadian friends.
