Having confidence that it truly is God’s will is to heal is the foundation for having faith to believe for healing. In addition, understanding how you play a powerful role in bringing healing into your body, is necessary.

God created you–spirit, soul and body (in His likeness), and He has given you stewardship over your spirit, body and soul.

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” Genesis 1:26a.

Your body is created to heal itself if it is managed in agreement with how God designed it to be fueled and to operate. Managing your physical well-being is an important part of putting your faith into action and bringing your body into alignment with God’s design.

Using your spirit to lead your faith, your trust in God and His Word, is also paramount. Faith is always based upon the integrity of God’s Word. And we build it by spending time with God’s Word.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.

Faith has nothing to do with feelings or emotions. It is a solid, immovable agreement with God’s Word and will in spite of circumstances.

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” Mark 11:24.

In other words: ask in faith, believe without natural evidence, stand your ground with actions and words in agreement with faith, stand until you have what you are believing for.

Utilizing the influence of your soul (your choices) to determine that what you say and what actions you take must be in align with what you believe.

“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” Matthew 12:36-37.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” Proverbs 18:21a.

“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” James 2:17.

It is important that you bring all three parts of your being into agreement with God and His Word.

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

In the above scripture, Paul is praying for the believers he is writing to, that all three parts of their being will be found to be in agreement with God when Jesus returns. God’s will in not simply that we make it to heaven, but that we reflect the life of Christ–spirit, soul and body–throughout our time on earth.
