During 2020, Dale Black Ministries was shadow banned by social media. As a result we lost between 80% to 90% of our weekly viewers. How’s that for freedom of speech and freedom of religion? But praise the good Lord, our partners stood strong with us in prayer and increased their financial support. We may be smaller but we are actually stronger than ever.

As a ministry we have prayed fervently and have come out of this challenge with a more determined resolve to stand firm with God—and His ways and His Word. Today, we are using a new platform to provide the video below that can help you see a perspective of nationalism as opposed to globalism. This video is only available through DaleBlack.org website and will not be hosted through YouTube owned and operated by the DS.

This ministry is committed to obeying God instead of pandering to viewers or compromising its message for financial gain. Obedience to God is our primary motivation and always will be. That is probably why many are calling Dale Black Ministries a “Remnant” of the last days Church. Ministering truth to God’s people is our goal. So with this in the forefront, here comes a teaching about “When is civil disobedience biblical?” Also included is a bonus video. We hope you will enjoy it and be inspired as you ask the question, “Is nationalism worth fighting for?”

“When is civil disobedience biblical?”

Believers often label any conflict as unchristian. Yet the Bible is full of God’s people in conflict with evil – as they fight ungodliness both physically and spiritually.

Recent events, including unjust, violent and oppressive actions, have left many Christians questioning how to respond. Should they turn the other cheek or stand up and resist evil? What about government mandates that are robbing Christians of the right to gather for worship? The godly Constitutional rights of the citizens of the U.S. are being strategically stripped away through deception and corruption. Many have made the statement, “As America goes, so goes most of the world.”

As the end of the age draws nearer, the tension between obedience to God’s Word and obeying the government grows. It is more critical than ever that we seek truth from God’s Word to determine His will. We must remember that the Antichrist, who is ultimately coming to world power, will do so… not through the church, but through the platform of the world’s government. Remembering this can help us remain on guard to determine at what point our government is no longer serving as a God-given protection over us but instead, acting as an oppressive form of ungodly control. It would be wise to determine what will dictate your course of action BEFORE action is required. Time is of the essence.

When the government moves to unbiblical or unconstitutional laws and mandates, the question arises as to whether or not civil disobedience is in order–especially for Christians.

The dictionary defines “civil disobedience” as “refusal to obey governmental demands or commands, especially as a nonviolent and usually collective means of forcing concessions from the government.”

Given this definition, the question remains: Is refusing to obey a governmental demand ever biblical? Civil disobedience that is biblically sound would require that one is resisting something that violates God’s Word specifically or in principle—such as our right to gather and worship, which is something God instructs us to do (Hebrews 10:25).

An example of something that would not qualify might be a tax increase. In paying taxes, we are not breaking God’s law or compromising our beliefs. In other words, simply disagreeing with a law is not grounds to willfully disobey. The Bible instructs us—“render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Mark 12:17, NKJV).

Civil Disobedience that is Biblical should never be an act that stems from an angry or bitter heart (though holy anger is often appropriate, it is different from anger motivated from the flesh). As with anything we say and do, our heart attitude is of the utmost importance to God. Even if you have a Biblical reason to refuse to comply with a law or mandate, if your heart is wrong, your action will be wrong as well.

Throughout the Bible, you will find numerous scriptures commanding us to submit to leaders and governmental authority (See 1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 13:1-2; Titus 3:1-2). Our respect and submission to those in godly authority is a testimony to unbelievers, and it keeps our hearts obedient before God.

But what about when a law or government mandate is in opposition to the Word of God? Let’s take a look at some examples from the Bible.

When King Darius established a new law that prohibited worshipping God, Daniel did not obey this law, but rather, continued honoring the Lord and His Word (Daniel 6).

When King Nebuchadnezzar issued a government order to bow down and worship a golden image or be put to death, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not obey this law, even if it required their death (Daniel 3).

Esther risked her life by going against the law of the land and approaching the king in order to save her people, without first having been summoned (Esther 4-5).

In the early church, the apostles were forbidden to teach in the “Name of Jesus” and were jailed for defying the decree. Their response to their accusers? “We must obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:27-29).

What about modern-day examples? There have been increasing instances where government has begun implementing policies to which Christians cannot comply without violating biblical principles. A few of these examples include:

The Colorado state government has ordered the head of a large ministry to shut down his in-person ministry activities, while allowing other organizations to continue. He has even been threatened with jail time if he continues. He is standing for his religious freedoms under the US Constitution, as well as obeying what God has called him to do.

Watch “Will Christians Go Through Tribulation?”

A bakery owner in Colorado, has been sued multiple times for refusing to make wedding cakes celebrating same-sex marriages. His stand for biblical principles made it all the way to the Supreme Court.

Multiple churches in California and throughout the country have been victims of unconstitutional religious discrimination, ordering them to cease meeting in person. Even as they face fines and legal action, they have chosen to obey God over man. These same states that bring discrimination against religious organizations allow Casinos to operate, abortion clinics to function and big box stores to conduct “business as usual.” The battle is strategic.

These are just a few of many current challenges facing believers around the world. The Bible has forewarned us about this type of persecution in the last days. We must not be surprised but we must determine which side of the battle line we will stand on.

As followers of Jesus, we must seek to live at peace with everyone and love all with God’s love. But God’s love and peace are always rooted in the truth of His Word. We must stand firm without compromising our obedience to God… remembering that we are first citizens of Heaven and our allegiance is to God’s kingdom.

Below is a video that should remind us that nationalism, specifically America, is worth the fight. Even while Mainstream Media and even some of our politicians continue to undermine the U.S. and question it’s value… for Christians especially, American is more than worth fighting for.

.What Others Are Saying:
“It’s been over a year since I first attended your Winning Over Cancer – Healing workshop. At that time I was a mess. With stage 4 cancer there was little hope. But everything changed with Dale & Paula’s teachings direct from the Bible using the spirit, soul and body approach. I refused all chemo and radiation treatments just as in your book “Life, Cancer and God” and dealt with God’s word and a total natural alternative approach to cancer healing. Now, 19 months after the first class, doctors have given me a clean bill of health! Thank you God. I feel great, husband says I haven’t looked better. Thank God. Thank you Paula and Dale.” Anonymous
