Living with Purpose When You Feel Like Giving Up
by Dale Black | Oct 7, 2025
Living with Purpose When You Feel Like Giving Up In today’s world, it’s easy to feel tired, discouraged, and even wish we could just go to Heaven now. The loss of loved ones, the stress of life, and the evil we see around us can make us long for relief. But when we take that attitude, we reveal that our lives are not yet fully surrendered to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our times are in His hands—not ours. As followers of Jesus, our calling is to occupy until He comes—to keep living for His purposes until He calls us home or returns to rescue us. What Does “Occupy Until I Come” Mean? The phrase comes from Jesus’ parable in Luke 19. In the story, a nobleman goes away to receive his kingdom and tells his servants, “Occupy till I come.” When he returns, he rewards those who used what he gave them to serve and multiply good, and he judges the one who did nothing. The lesson is clear: God expects His people to be faithful and productive while waiting for His return.
The Power of Your Words

The Power of Your Words.
Scripture makes it clear that what we speak carries authority. God Himself demonstrated this truth in creation—He spoke, and the universe came into existence. “Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).
Because we are created in God’s image, our words also carry influence. The Bible teaches that “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).
The Missing Link between Faith and Miracles
by Dale Black | Sep 23, 2025
Faith That Flows With Power Faith is like electricity. You can’t see electricity, but you can see the light it provides. Faith works the same way—it’s invisible, but its results are undeniable. Faith is the currency of heaven. If you want God involved in a situation, you must use real faith. Yet many believers misunderstand faith. Faith can be taught and learned, but it must be understood biblically. Faith Is a Substance Hebrews 11:1–3 says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Jesus Still Heals Today
by Dale Black | Sep 16, 2025
God’s Word is not just ink on a page—it is life, strength, and healing for you. The Bible clearly promises that health and restoration belong to God’s children. You don’t have to accept sickness as your fate. When Jesus walked the earth, His ministry revealed God’s will in action. Scripture says it plainly: “Jesus healed them all.” That same truth is still alive today.
Old Covenant vs. New Covenant
In the Old Testament, mankind had surrendered authority through sin. People could only find protection under God’s law and could not confront Satan directly.
The Spirit-Led Life

Why the Holy Spirit Matters
From the very beginning, God designed His people to rely on the Holy Spirit. He is the source of strength that lifts us above the pull of the world, the guide who leads us into truth, and the power that equips us for God’s assignments. In a time when confusion and deception are spreading rapidly, ignoring Him is dangerous.
Jesus Himself gave this warning: false wonders would appear that could mislead “if possible, even the elect.” Without the Spirit’s voice and power, believers are vulnerable. Dependence on the Spirit isn’t a side issue—it’s the very heartbeat of a victorious life.
Life After Death: What the Bible Reveals
by Dale Black | Sep 3, 2025
Few topics stir more curiosity—or more silence—than what lies beyond our final breath. People often wonder: when believers die, do they rest in the grave until Christ’s return, or are they ushered immediately into His presence? Thankfully, God’s Word offers clear and hope-filled answers.
Paul assures us: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, NKJV)
The Test of Loyalty
by Dale Black | Aug 26, 2025
In a world overflowing with uncertainty and pressure, nothing is more important than where our loyalty rests. Every believer is being asked—sometimes quietly, sometimes openly—who truly rules their heart. The enemy is subtle; he doesn’t demand open worship if he can distract us with substitutes. Whenever something else takes God’s rightful place, the test has already begun.
God doesn’t judge by surface appearances. People may think we look devout, but the Lord searches deeper: “…For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7, NKJV). It is the heart that reveals where our allegiance really lies.

Standing Strong in the Face of Evil
by Dale Black | Aug 19, 2025
Every day, whether we recognize it or not, you and I encounter the reality of evil. Sometimes it comes at us from the outside—in the form of temptation, opposition, or injustice. Other times, we battle it within our own hearts and minds. If we’re honest, most of us would admit that we don’t always come out victorious. Not because we don’t want to—but because we haven’t fully grasped how to overcome it.
God’s Word doesn’t leave us guessing. It lays out a clear path. And it begins with this sobering truth: we only have two choices.
Either we conquer evil, or
We are conquered by it.
There is no neutral ground. The apostle Paul put it plainly in Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (NKJV)
Pressing Closer to the Lord
by Dale Black | Aug 13, 2025
Have you noticed how quickly the world is unraveling? It’s becoming more obvious every day that the signs described in Scripture about the end times are unfolding before our very eyes.
Lately, I’ve sensed the Holy Spirit speaking with urgency. His words to my heart have been simple but powerful: “Press in.” In other words—draw nearer to God than ever before.
And this isn’t a message just for me. It’s for you, for your family, and for every follower of Jesus living in these final days. The return of our Lord is drawing close—glorious for those who know Him, but perilous for those who are unprepared. These are times of great deception and spiritual danger. Only those who truly walk with Him will be able to stand firm. But if we press in, we will witness God’s power, answered prayers, and a mighty outpouring of His Spirit beyond anything we’ve imagined.
Deliverance for the Wounded Soul
by Dale Black | Aug 6, 2025
In a world where darkness opposes the light, followers of Jesus often find themselves targeted in unseen ways. The battles many face are not visible to the eye—they are battles of the soul. And without healing, these hidden wounds can wreak havoc on our lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
One of the enemy’s most effective tactics is trauma. It doesn’t discriminate—everyone faces it to some extent. Some wounds come through painful childhood experiences, while others are inflicted through adult hardship. Trauma, especially early in life, can shape our identity, making us vulnerable to ongoing defeat. Often, it invites spiritual oppression that lingers long after the moment of injury.
The Prayer That Changes Everything
by Dale Black | Jul 30, 2025
Over the centuries, countless methods have been developed to share the gospel—strategic campaigns, media outreaches, and large-scale events. Many have been well-intentioned. Yet amid all this planning, the Church often overlooks the most powerful evangelistic strategy ever spoken—Jesus’ own prayer.
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,
that the world may believe that You sent Me.
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one,
and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”
— John 17:20-23
God’s Shelter for the Days Ahead
by Dale Black | Jul 22, 2025
We are witnessing a radical transformation in America—one that would have been unthinkable just twenty years ago. The cultural and political landscapes are shifting rapidly, leaving many feeling unsettled and unprepared. Yet, for those who have diligently studied the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation, this moment in history comes as no surprise. These ancient writings warned us long ago about the unfolding chaos.
Though invisible to the eye, there is an orchestrated effort from within to dismantle the very foundations of truth and freedom. Many sense we’re living in the final chapter of this age, with prophetic events accelerating around us. But the real tragedy? Most believers aren’t equipped to discern what’s happening.
Across the country, churches are crumbling under compromise. Deception has crept in unnoticed, often in the form of well-funded influencers embedded within congregations. Many pastors remain unaware, thankful for the support, but unaware of the spiritual sabotage taking place.
You Were Made to Conquer Darkness
by Dale Black | Jul 15, 2025
Where do you stand when it comes to spiritual warfare? Do you see it as real and relevant—or something reserved for a select few? Maybe it sounds a little “out there,” or perhaps it’s just not something you’ve been taught to consider. The truth is, in many churches today, the topic of spiritual warfare is often ignored or glossed over. It’s either seen as extreme or unnecessary for the average believer. The result? Most Christians live unaware of how the spiritual realm influences their everyday struggles.
Without solid biblical teaching, we tend to mislabel our battles—seeing them as physical, emotional, or circumstantial. So we look for purely natural remedies. We take a pill for anxiety. We go to therapy for emotional wounds. We turn to medicine to suppress symptoms. But rarely do we dig deep enough to identify the true root—the spiritual one. This puts us at a turning point: Will we take God at His Word and believe what Jesus modeled for us? Or will we lean on modern, socially acceptable solutions and avoid the uncomfortable reality of spiritual warfare?
Let’s be honest. Most churchgoers don’t bat an eye at going to a doctor or therapist. But bring up casting out demons or rebuking the enemy, and suddenly you’re “too radical.”
Creating Space for God’s Presence
by Dale Black | Jul 8, 2025
Have you ever found it difficult to truly sense God’s nearness? Do your times of prayer feel distant or disconnected? Scripture tells us that God is enthroned upon the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). That means our praise isn’t just noise—it’s an invitation. Worship opens the door for divine encounter. It welcomes the very presence of God into our midst and into our hearts.
Let’s look at a powerful passage together: Psalm 95:1–2; 6–8 (NKJV) “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts…” This passage outlines a clear journey—a way to draw closer to God. It begins with vocal praise: “Let us sing… shout joyfully…” This joyful expression of thanks leads us to a deeper place: worship.
The Silence Before the Breakthrough
by Dale Black | Jul 1, 2025
Have you ever prayed with all your heart—confident it aligns with God’s will—yet it feels like heaven is silent? It’s a question many believers quietly carry: Why isn’t God answering my prayers?
The truth is, God always answers. Always. He never lies. He never forgets. He never fails. The answer may be “yes,” “no,” or “wait,” but rest assured, there is always a response. As Scripture reminds us: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.” – Numbers 23:19
But often when the answer seems delayed, it’s not that God is slow—it’s that He’s waiting on us.
If you’re in a season of prayer without resolution, consider these five spiritual checkpoints. They may uncover what’s missing and help align your heart with God’s response.
Are We Living in the Last Days?
by Dale Black | Jun 27, 2025
Are We Living in the Last Days? Here’s What to Watch For: Jesus gave His followers a powerful warning in Matthew 24:7–13, describing what would unfold before His return: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows… And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Take a moment to look around—do these signs seem familiar?
Put God First—and Watch What Happens
by Dale Black | Jun 17, 2025
When you enter into a covenant with God through faith in Jesus Christ, you’re stepping into a powerful, two-way relationship. It begins with what Scripture calls the “word of faith”:
“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:8-10
From the beginning, God involves both our hearts and our words. He sent His Son to redeem us—and our confession of that truth brings us into a relationship with Him. That covenant comes with spiritual privileges and responsibilities.
“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” — 1 Corinthians 6:20
As covenant people, we’re called to reflect His ownership in how we live—including how we handle our resources. The Lord has revealed principles in His Word that invite His blessing into our lives. One such principle is this:
“Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.” — Proverbs 3:9-10
