Beliefs
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe He died for all men, we believe in His resurrection, and His eventual return to judge the world.
Salvation
We believe all men are born with a sin nature and have sinned, which has separated them from a relationship with God. The death of Jesus on the cross redeems all who sincerely repent and believe in Him. We believe that no sin is too great to be forgiven and this salvation is available to all who will receive it.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity and in His interaction with man. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit which empowers believers and is manifested by the fruits and the gifts of the Spirit.
The Sacred Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the complete revelation of God’s will for mankind. We believe in the absolute authority of the scripture to govern the affairs of men.
Stewardship
We believe that every man is the steward of his life and resources. We believe that tithing is a measure of obedience to the scriptural principles of stewardship.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion according to scripture. All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ.
The Power of Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer and that every Christian should participate in prayer as part of their regular spiritual relationship. As Christians, prayer in agreement with God’s Word is an effective part of our spiritual arsenal in bringing God’s will into our lives and into the lives of others. Jesus prayed, “…Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
The Church
We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of the atonement. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers for the purpose of evangelism and edification.
Evangelism
We believe that evangelism with a heart full of God’s love is a responsibility of every follower of Jesus Christ. The Lord commands us to go out and make disciples of all the earth. Like the example of Jesus Himself, we don’t force evangelism on others but we do stand ready to share the gospel message at opportunities where there is favor and/or as the Holy Spirit gives direction.
