Today I’m struck be the words of Jesus in John 17:21. Jesus prayed to the Father, “That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me”

It’s the perfect time for believers across the globe to learn more about being one. Today it is time to began to enter into the oneness that Jesus prayed for in John 17:21. It’s time we held on to one another in good times as well as bad. It’s time we realized that we do need one another.

Just today a pilot returning from his 3-day trip to Osaka, then to Beijing and next deadheading back to SFO on one of UAL’s last 787 flights, wrote me a text and email explaining details of his flights. He landed at two large and familiar airports but saw sights he never expected. Not less than 600+ commercial jet airplanes were parked at the terminal gates with not one gate empty. All of the gates were filled with jets sitting motionless, quiet and empty.

The airport with 6 runways, had only one active runway open for takeoffs and landings. The rest of the runways where used as gargantuan parking lots for lines of neatly parked jet aircraft, lifeless and empty almost as far as the eye could see.

The air traffic controllers on these flight legs would normally manage more than a hundred aircraft at the same time. Today there were only 3 controllers on duty to handle the 4 aircraft flying.  Inside the terminal building, empty shops and hallways spread out during this pilots walk to his car. Inside the normally

bustling airport terminal, here were only 2 people seen in total. TWO. At the end of the flight, the flight crew stood hugging each other and offerings the same kind of goodbye’s normally reserved for retirement flights. These are difficult days on many levels for so many and our hearts go out to all.

This is also an amazing time for evangelism. Just in the last week we’ve had over 120 people visit our “Book Your Heaven Flight” page on our website, indicating more spiritual interest than usual. This is an opportunity for many to receive Jesus as Savior and for God to prepare His bride. If believers chose well, these days can become precious for good and for His glory. I”m reminded of those sacred words from the Lord Jesus which I repeat again.

Jesus said, “That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.”

We do need each other.  You need prayer now big time. I need your prayers as much as you need mine. Yet, let us remember that together, we can face anything and overcome in the name of Jesus.

In John 3:34, God says Jesus was given the Holy Spirit without measure. He was more powerful than all the demons of hell and all wicked spirits of all classes, including Satan himself. He was able to defeat their combined power.

We are His Body. Each of us has been given the measure of faith according to Romans 12:1-3. That measure is enough to take care of our own personal needs. However, there is more involved here than just our own personal lives.

We have a world to win to the Lord Jesus! We are the end-time generation. We need all the help we can get. But, thank God, we can get all the help we need!

How? By joining together! By standing strong together. Remember the famous saying? United we stand, divided we fall? Let’s chose to unite with Christ and with each other now more than ever before.

Ephesians 4:13 says that when we all come together in the unity of the faith, we’ll have “the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

In other words, when the Body of Christ comes together and begins to function as one, we’ll have the Holy Spirit without measure—just like Jesus did! We’ll begin to see ministries functioning in the fullness of their callings. We’ll begin to see the workings of the Holy Spirit in full measure. We’ll see Jesus in fullness as we’ve never seen Him before. Now is that time, dear friends.

What did Jesus say would be the result when we enter into that oneness? Then the world will know the Father sent Him.

Start today and step into that oneness in Christ with each other. Start by making a daily effort to make yourself available to God to pray for others. Start your day by saying, “Holy Spirit, use me to pray for someone today. I offer You my measure of faith.”

Once we truly join together in unity, in prayer and in faith, all the demons of hell won’t be able to overcome us. We can be as one. With God nothing is impossible!
