Eliminating Fear – Capt Dale Black

Fear is all too often Satan’s doorway into the life of Christians. When we allow fear to enter into our lives, spiritual forces are discharged. When that happens we can become amazingly vulnerable to the works of the enemy. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” (I John 4:18 NKJV)

Fear is usually faith which has been perverted. The reason I say that is because fear is in all actuality, faith in Satan’s ability to bring you harm or destruction. This is why we are taught not allow fear to have any place, even in our thought life. The first step in getting rid of fear is by knowing and applying the Word of God. In the above scripture, it says that perfect love casts out fear. If we are to apply that, then when you are experiencing fear, go immediately to God’s Word and use that word as an offensive weapon.

God’s plans for you are good because He loves you. God doesn’t have plans that you suffer from any kind of torment brought about by fear. In order to solve any problem in life, we must deal with the problem at the “root”. I believe the principles of Jesus’ teaching indicate the root of fear is doubt in God’s love. So here’s how to address this issue.

Take time to meditate on God’s perfect, amazing, pure and unconditional love for you. Meditate on the cross and that Jesus shed His blood for you and all that encompasses. Think hard and long about the love God has for you and His children. Then, not only receive that love….but soak in it. When you consider these things and believe in your heart that God does indeed truly love you just as you are, that love will go a long way in casting out the fear. Then repeatedly speak His promises out your mouth.

If you’re not convinced this can work, PLEASE give it a try. You’ll be amazed at how effectively, and quickly it can work. Why am I so certain? Because it works for many who do it. I works for me and my family too. And once you have a revelation of the depth of your Heavenly Father’s love for you, I think it will go a long way toward removing any fear Satan (or this world) can throw at you.

The Word says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV). When you plant the truth of God love for you deep into your heart, you’ll say to yourself, and mean it, “What is there to fear with God on my side?”

We love you are standing with you in believing for God’s best in all you do, say and think. Always remember, with God nothing is impossible.
